Valmorel is the first resort before the famous Tarentaise  THREE VALLEYS RESORT AREA,  just before Moutiers and is less than one hour from Courcheval and close to Val Thorens, Meribal and Les Mineures (all 1-1.5 hours drive), Chamonix, Le Grand Bornand (2 hours), and Puy St Vincent (2.5-3 hours),

It takes approximately half an hour from Albertville – just great if you hate change over day traffic jams. However you should allow a bit of extra time during the Peak Season. Chambery airport is about one hour away from Valmorel with Grenoble and Geneva airports both about 2 hours away.

To arrive at Valmorel :
By road : arrive at Albertville using the A43 motorway from Chambéry or the N212 from Annecy. Then follow the dual carriageway RN90 towards Moutiers. Take exit 37 and follow signposts to your destination.

By train : the "Moutiers-Salins-Brides" railway station (15 kms) is the arrival point for TGV and direct trains. (Paris - Moutiers by TGV: 4h30. There are regular connections by bus or taxi . Train information and bookings are available on the SNCF Website .

By plane : Chambéry-Aix les Bains airport (90kms), Lyon-St Exupéry airport (180 kms), Grenoble airport (160kms) and Geneva (Switzerland) airport (125 kms), with taxi connections.
