In the heart of the three mountain ranges of the Beaufortain, the Lauzière and the Vanoise, Doucy-Combelouvière (1300m) and Valmorel (1400m) are situated at the edge of forests and at the start of the mountain pastures.

Doucy-Combelouvière is situated on the flat part of an old Moraine glacier that runs along the edge of the Celliers valley (Col de la Madelaine - one of the toughest sections on the cycling Tour de France ).  Its sunny disposition, opposite the Vanoise glaciers, is ideal for a lazy holiday.

Valmorel is surrounded by mountain peaks: Crêve-Tête (2342m), the Niélard (2559 m) and the Cheval Noir (2832m), and climbing these gives access to fantastic views : Mont Blanc, the Matterhorn, the Vanoise glaciers, Ecrins dome… This vast territory of the Morel Valley contains the biggest canyons in the Savoie (Eau Rousse and Pussy), the climbing sites of Malatral (Valmorel), Bois Dormier (Doucy-Combelouviere) and Fayeres (Naves).

Between 400 and 2800m high, there are 215 kms of paths to tempt you and to show you the heritage of this incredibly beautiful valley where lifestyle has adapted to the natural constraints.
